Professor Pasquale Patrizio
is a board certified specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Medical Director, Yale Fertility Center and Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr Patrizio received his MD from the University of Naples, Italy, and completed two residencies, Obstetrics & Gynecology (Naples) and Andrology (Pisa, Italy). After moving to the USA he completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California. In August 2003 he completed a Master's in Bioethics (MBE) at the University of Pennsylvania and became certified as High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD). He joined Yale faculty in January 2004 as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr Patrizio has lectured throughout the world on the topics of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Male Infertility and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). He is member of the editorial board of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Journal of Andrology. He serves as reviewer for many scientific journals including Lancet, Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, Reproductive Biomedicine, and ad hoc reviewer for JAMA and for NIH grants. Dr Patrizio has authored a prominent Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) textbook and has 282 scientific papers, book chapters, and abstracts including 92 peer-review publications, 36 as 1st author, and 19 as senior author.

Ri-Cheng Chian, MSc, Ph.D.
Currently, Dr. Chian is Scientific Director at McGill Reproductive Center, McGill University Health Center (MUHC), and Assistant Professor at Division of Reproductive Biology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He also is an Honorary Visiting Professor at Shantou University of School Medicine, Nanjing Medical University and Anhui Medical University as well as Peking University Third Hospital, China. Dr. Chian published numerous research papers and presentations in refereed journals and international/regional conference. He edited two books, and contributed many book chapters. As a guest or invited speaker, Dr. Chian delivered numerous lectures in different societies and countries. He is the key person developed in vitro maturation (IVM) of human oocytes for clinical application and responsible for cryopreservation of human oocytes produced pregnancies and live births at McGill University Health Center (MUHC) in Canada. Dr. Chian is an Associate Editor for the journal, Human Reproduction and an Editorial Board Member for Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. Dr. Chian is acting as a reviewer for many other scientific journals, including Fertility and Sterility, Reproduction, Biology of Reproduction, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, and The Lancet, etc. Dr. Chian is one of founder members for Global Chinese Association for Reproductive Medicine (GCARM) from 2005, a member of Board Directors of International Society for In Vitro Fertilization (ISIVF) from 2008 and program chair for Chinese Special Interesting Group (ChSIG) in American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) in 2008. Dr. Chian speaks English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese as well as some knowledge of French. Dr. Chian’s research interests are focused on 1) Reprogramming of sperm DNA and somatic genomes in the oocytes; 2) The mechanism of oocyte maturation; 3) Vitrification of oocytes and embryos; 4) Embryonic stem cells.

Dr. Suheil J. Muasher
is an Associate Professor of OB/GYN at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, Clinical Professor of OB/GYN at George Washington University and Professor of OB/GYN at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since 2004 he is the Director of the Muasher Center for Fertility and IVF.

Dr. Muasher held the positions of Director of the IVF program (1988 - 2000) and Director of REI (1998 -2000) at the Jones Institute. He is a world-renowned authority on IVF with original breakthrough research that lead to improved IVF stimulation protocols, recognition of the importance of day 3 hormonal evaluations, ICSI, embryo cryopreservation and PGD.

Dr. Muasher completed his M.D. at the American University of Beirut in 1976 after which he completed the OB/GYN Residency at the GBMC and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Muasher published 140 papers in peer-reviewed journals, over 140 abstracts and eight book chapters.

He is member of the ASRM and SREI and served as President of the Middle East Fertility Society (2003-2005). Recently (2004), he was awarded the King Hussein Medal for Excellence in Scientific Achievements by Majesty King Abdallah of Jordan.

Vanessa Guelman
has been the embryology laboratory director of the Clinica Genese, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil for more than 15 years. Her biology training was completed in Sao Paulo and in Salvador, Brazil. Her main research interests and her publications include oocyte, embryo and blastocyst classification criteria, the technique of Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and various Methods to process and cryopreserve testicular and epididymal spermatozoa. In 2003 she co-edited a popular book for both embryologists and reproductive medicine specialists titled “A color atlas for human assisted reproduction: Laboratory and clinical insights”. This book has been translated also into Spanish and Chinese language.

Dr. Maria Lalioti
is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ob/Gyn, Yale University School of Medicine, and the Director of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). She was born in Greece and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the Univ. of Athens (1991). She received her Masterís Degree in Reproductive Biology (1995) and Ph.D. in Human Molecular Genetics (1998) from the Univ. of Geneva, Switzerland. Her postdoc training was done in Biochemistry at the Univ. of Birmingham, UK and in Human Genetics at Yale. For her postdoctoral training she obtained long-term fellowships from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the Human Frontiers Science Program (HFSP). Dr. Lalioti has 35 peer-reviewed publications. She has won numerous prizes for her basic and clinical research including Best Young Scientist from the British, European and American Societies of Human Genetics (1997, 1998), Pfizer Foundation research prize (1999) and Basic Science Award by the ESHRE (2008). Besides PGD, she has a strong interest in the function of the FSH receptor and the clinical implications of its variants.

Dr. Jennifer L. Kulp
is currently a clinical instructor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Yale University as well as a fellow in the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She completed her medical school training at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and did a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. Her research interests include protocols of ovarian stimulation and outcomes in assisted reproductive technologies as well as endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Dr. Ryan Martin
is a clinical instructor at the Yale School of Medicine, Department of OB/GYN, Section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr Martin attended medical school at the Yale University School of Medicine and did an OB/GYN residency at Yale/New Haven Hospital. His clinical interests are fertility preservation, ovarian cryopreservation complications of IVF and Fragile X. He has published 15 peer reviewed papers and many abstracts.
